Description
For your consideration is a gorgeous Soviet Russian Tournament Chess Set Reproduction similar to sets used by World Champion Mikhail Botvinnik and Salo Flohr during the 1930's. Its been called the Botvinnik-Flohr II Chessmen. Kings measure 4" in height with a diameter base just over 1 1/2". Pawns are approx. 2 1/8" in height. The 32 piece lacquered set is in new and unused condition and has been stored away for a few years until taking pictures for this listing. Piece bottoms are covered in green felt. The set comes with a green/white wrinkle-free roll-up mousepad board with 2 1/4" squares. There is no box. The pieces are lightly weighted but wide bases affords good stability. A gorgeous and fabulous historical set for tournament, blitz or home play and a great addition to one's collection. The pieces were hard to photograph and look much better in person. I have supplied many pictures of this gorgeous set for your perusal. for USPS Priority Mail shipping. EACH PIECE WILL BE INDIVIDUALLY WRAPPED FOR ADDED PROTECTION DURING SHIPPING.
