    Description

Up for your consideration is a very pretty little outfit for Muffie. This is her #610-1 "Margie" Dress from the Dress-Up Styles of 1953. Maybe. This outfit is shown on page 32 in the book "The Muffie Puzzle - New Pieces" by Lillian Roth and Heather Maciak. The dress in this photo shows a different venetian lace. However, if you look closely at the dress on page 35, it is the same lace as my dress. You will receive the dress, panties, socks, shoes and flowers. A complete outfit. Please look at all my photos and use the enlarger as the photos are part of my description. If you have any questions, please ask them before you bid.
    This
pale bluish-purple rayon satin dress has white scalloped lace across the front of the bodice and around the sleeves. Muffie's signature half slip is sewn on the inside and it closes with a small round brass snap. Now, there are only two infractions with this dress. On the front hem edge of the dress, the fabric has an interruption of the nice straight hem. It is not a hole but more of a tiny snag? But, it is so small that unless you know it's there, you don't see it. It's hard to explain exactly what is is. The second problem is the snap. Sigh......these poor snaps did not do well with children. The outside part of the snap was ripped out and there was a hole in the fabric. I reinforced it with a piece of ribbon and used professional glue to put the snap back in place. You can see the mend on the inside but, the outside of the dress doesn't look too bad and the snap will snap. This is still a lovely little dress and even though it isn't perfect, it will display beautifully!
The vintage light purple taffeta panties have loopy picot trim. They are in good condition with no holes, tears or stains. The waist elastic is still stretchy.
The white stretch socks are brand new. I like these socks because you can scrunch them down for that 1950's look.
The white side-button Mary Jane shoes have flat soles. They are marked "Ginnette" on the bottom and are in good condition. Knobs and straps are intact and they are very white.
I have also included a vintage bouquet of white satin flowers. Just a nice little accessory to go with the dress.
Shipping is .00 by First Class Mail and includes tracking. I will carefully pack this outfit in a small box so it arrives safe and sound to you.

e note: I am not an expert on Muffie's but, only describe what I see. I try to be truthful and tell you everything including the faults. If you have any questions, please ask them before you bid. I may have missed something that is important to you. I am, after all, only human. Thank you and have fun!
    TO ALL MY CUSTOMERS:
Other sellers are starting to charge extra fees for handling or many are shipping UPS (expensive) because they don't want the hassle of packing the item up themselves and having to drive to the Post Office. I consider it a pleasure and a privilege to be able to sell to you on eBay. I will try to keep my shipping costs down to a reasonable amount and I will
    NEVER
    charge a handling fee.
