Antique Rajasthani Hand Carved Sandalwood Chess Set Rare Design Vintage Handmade

Exquisite old chess set from India with finely detailed pieces, each hand-carved in fragrant sandalwood .
Comes in its original case, which is specially molded and lined in velvety material to fit each piece for secure storage.
Largest piece is 4" tall, smallest one is 1 3/8" tall. Closed case is 9.5" x 16.5" x 1 5/8”.
This Indian hand carved Sandalwood chess set dates from circa 1920s. The pieces are modeled as figures on the backs of elephants, camels and horses on oval bases.
Pieces are in excellent condition - no chips or breaks. Some of the Black on the bottom is inconsistent. Everything is intact. Case has some wear around corners and edges (see pics)
