Awesome Vintage Cavalier Tan & Black Boxwood Chess Set 3.75”K Original Case

Description

We are delighted to offer this rare carved wood Cavalier chess set. These rare chess pieces were made in France. The king measures approximately 3.75” high x 1.5” at the base. The pieces are finished with green billiard cloth pads for a soft feel on the chess board, and are nicely weighted which gives them great stability.
The black king is a replacement.
The set comes with its original case which has splits on its edges consistent with age and use. It is gently used with three of the pieces showing blemishes as shown in the last photo.
The chessboard is not included in the auction
