  • Condition: Amazingly gorgeous large red and white Staunton set, perfect playing set that feels great in the hand.Has a few minor splits in the bone which do not detract from it's beauty as they are very hard to notice and do not affect the playability. It has threaded parts and is an extremely well made reproduction of an Ayres or Jacques tournament set.

    Description

    This is a large Staunton pattern chess set, made of camel bone. It is extremely well made with pieces that can be taken apart.
    One half is natural and the other half is a vivid cherry red. The pieces are solid and feel good in the hand. The kings weigh a hefty 57g.
    All of the pieces have green felt bottoms, and there are no breaks. There are however a few minor splits in 6 pieces as shown in photos. And a black glue like substance was used during manufacturer which can be seen when disassembling the red king.
    This sale is for 32 high end Staunton bone chess pieces.
    Board is not included.
