    Description

    For your consideration is a NOS 1950's Soviet Baku Chess Set with the rare orange finish. The 32 piece set comes with a wood folding storage board which shows wear with scratches and nicks.  Board  is not original to the set.  Board squares are just over 2". One side of the board edge has a chip of wood missing.  Kings measure 4" in height with a 1 1/2" diameter base. Pawns are 2 1/4" in height. The pieces are not weighted, typical for many vintage Baku sets. Pieces bottoms are covered in original blue cloth.  Although the set is in new and unused condition, I have listed the set in used condition because of some small chips to the finish of some orange pieces and over the years the orange finish of the King and all eight Pawns have faded.
