This tool is used to diagnose the entire S85 Vanos system. To test just the Pump/High Pressure line, Disconnect both the vanos camshaft units and test without them first, Because these leaking can usually be the issue. After you get a steady reading, you know your pump and high pressure line is good. You can then connect one of the camshaft vanos units at a time and see if the culprit is in them. If you are still getting a good reading then you potentially need to bleed your vanos system a couple of times or check if your timing is set correctly because the low oil pressure light for vanos only comes on when there is a improper reading of the camshafts.
