Vintage French Lardy Staunton Wooden Carved Chess 3" King Tetes Fines knight

Up for your consideration is:
A beautiful wooden Staunton chess set made by the Lardy Company in France.
Made in France in the mid 50's to 60's, the pieces are in great, as found condition. Well cared for with normal light wear.
Marked "Vernis, Tetes Fines, Plombes et feutres" this is the best quality carving that Lardy offered. This set contains the famous toothy horses. Pieces are turned and carved from boxwood.
Kings measure 3".
Pieces are weighted and have original felt intact.  The Black King has a drying crack in the base that
can be filled and stained to match
.  The White King has a bit of varnish dried on one side. It can be gently removed, but I am not doing this to either piece unless this set fails to sell in this auction.
They come in the original jointed wooden box with a sliding lid. The wood box is widening a bit at one end, but the lid slides shut.
