Short description of clock
I bring to your attention rare vintage 1980's USSR (CCCP) Russian collection, mechanical Tournament High Quality Clock JANTAR OChZ in white plastic case made especially for the plays in chess. Chess clock was made and made only on one enterprise; OChZ Orlovskiy Clock Factory "JANTAR" (Amber) in Orel city (Eagle). A chess clock is a device for realization of control of time in table games, such as a chess, checkers, go, rendzyu, sintsi, segi etс. Analogical devices can be named differently: control clock, checker clock (in checkers), playing clock. A game clock consists of two adjacent clock and buttons to stop one clock while starting the other, such that the two component clocks never run simultaneously. Game clocks are used in two-player games where the players move in turn. The purpose is to keep track of the total time each player takes for his or her own moves, and ensure that neither player overly delays the game. Game clocks were first used extensively in tournament chess, and are often called chess clocks. In a tournament, the arbiter typically places all clocks in the same orientation, so he can easily assess games that need attention at later stages. Their use has since spread to tournament Scrabble, Shogi, Go, and nearly every competitive two-player board game, as well as other types of games. The first time that game clocks were used in a chess tournament was in the London 1883 tournament. The clock is in a working order. This unique clock was kept till our time in very good condition. Any defects not mentioned but visible in the pictures will be considered as described. Getting such thing you do good capital investment. Every year the price for them will increase only! This clock is a stylish acquisition for collectors, good present or for everyday use!
